Palette of the Month: May

Hey Everyone!!

It’s that time again, and this months palette of the month goes to the Stila in the Light Eye  Shadow Palette. This is an old faithful of mine that I’ve had for ages and I keep going back too. Recently I’ve become obsessed with the shade Kitten for everything from an inner corner highlight to all over the lid.

This palette is full of warm neutrals and great shimmery shades. It has 10 shades in total, 4 matte shades and 6 shimmery ones. In my opinion the matte shades are not the most pigmented but, as you can see from the swatches below, this is definitely compensated for by the pigmentation of the shimmery shades!

I tend to stick to the first three shades, Bare (1), Kitten (2) and Bliss (3) and the matte brown, Sandstone (5) and the matte black, Ebony (10). These colours can really help to create a variety of looks and all apply really well! The golden shimmery shadow Bubbly (6) is really beautiful as well, especially when applied all over the lid. I am really impressed with how well these shadows apply, especially the shimmery ones, as they are not patchy at all and  I can usually get a good strong colour with one application.

Overall, I find this to be a really great palette for anyone who loves warm tones and it’s under £20! So a great price for any beginner! During the week I’ll post a look I’ve created with this palette but in the meantime why not read last months Palette of the Month, which was the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette and see the look I created with that!

Have you tried this palette? Or any of the other ones by Stila, if so what did you think of them?

Hope to see you around,

Charlotte xx
