Products to Finish

Hey Everyone!

Recently I set myself a challenge of using up my half used products and limiting my buying of new ons! I went through my collection and purposefully set a side some products that I used for a while before moving on to something else or products that were nearly done. I know I like these products so I wanted to finish these instead of just binning them. I think it’s a really good way to use up all those pesky half used products in your makeup collection!

Rimmel Stay Matte Power – 03 Peachy Glow

This is a great face powder that sets makeup beautifully. It’s probably one of the best drugstore powders I’ve used.

New Look Pure Length Mascara

This is not the best mascara I’ve ever used but with a little manipulation it can make lashes look great!

Soap and Glory Brow Archery – Hot Chocolate

This is one of my favourite eyebrow pencils, I have a few other eyebrow products to use and this one has been open for a few months so I thought I should finish it first.

L’Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim

I’m guilty of opening too many felt liners as once and forgetting that they can dry up! This one has been open for a while so I want to use it as much as I can before it dies!

L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper – Dark Brown

This is an amazing brow gel, I find it very comparable to the Benefit one. I’d definitely recommend this product if you’re looking for a new brow gel.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer – 030 Classic Beige

This is a decent concealer, not the best I’ve used but for every day use it does they job. I like to use quite a lot of this spread out over my face then buff it in with a duo fibre brush to act like a foundation then set it using the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer – Colour Correcting Adjust

I’ve recently started loving this primer! I had a reaction to a cleanser which has left my skin super red and blotchy so when I’ve needed to wear makeup this has really helped. It doesn’t fill in pores which is a bit annoying but it has really helped to reduce the redness in my skin!

Sephora Collection Water Proof Eye Pencil – Black

This is a great waterproof liner, I’ve had it for almost a year and I use it all the time. Next time I get to go to a Sephora I will definitely be repurchasing one!

Too Faced Shadow Insurance

I don’t really use eyeshadow primers and I’ve had this one for a while so I definitely need to finish it before I have to throw it out!

Hope you liked this post! If you have any tips on how to keep track of half used products please leave them in the comments!!

Hope to see you around,

Love,

  1. I have been doing the same thing in my makeup collection. I stopped my subscription boxes until I finish off a lot of the products I have already. My problem is so many of them are so similar and so many of them are travel sized as soon as I start to like a product, its empty. Good luck! 🙂

  2. I like this idea! I am guilty of not using all of my beauty/skincare products before the expiration date or drying out. It makes your items worth the money in the end. I have gotten a little more courage and started returning items now. If I don’t like them I will return right away. However how can you stop yourself from buying new things?!?!??? Lol this is too hard for me to do with anything.

  3. Such a great idea! Definitely guilty of buying too many products before I’ve used up what I already have! Totally in love with the Rimmel Match perfection concealer, it’s my favourite from the drug store! Great post xx
