I finally got my hands on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette, and I’ve got to say I’m obsessed.
This is easily one of the prettiest palettes I own, both in terms of packaging and the shades themselves. I love warm tones and find them very wearable, but if warm tones aren’t your thing then this really isn’t the palette for you.
This palette has a great mix of shimmer shades and matte shades, so you can definitely use just the one palette to make a whole variety of looks.
Swatches of the top row of shadows with and without flash.
Tempera, Golden Ochre, Vermeer, Buon Fresco, Antique Bronze, Love Letter, Cyprus Umber (L-R)
This shades are beautiful, they are all so pigmented and blend beautifully. I especially love the shades Vermeer and Love Letter.
Swatches of the bottom row of shadows with and without flash.
Raw Sienna, Burnt Orange, Primavera, Red Ochre, Venetian Red, Warm Taupe, Realgar (L-R)
Again these shades are all super pigmented and look amazing on, I really like how Warm Taupe is a slightly cooler shades so it helps to stop the palette from being too warm and means you can create more looks.
Overall, I really love this palette and just know that I’ll use it a lot. The only downside is that there is quite a bit of kickback when you dip your brush into the pan but I don’t personally find this to be that annoying! I would definitely recommend this palette to anyone who is considering it, as it is such a high quality palette with beautiful shades!
Have you tried this palette, what do you think of it?
Hope to see you around,
