Edgy Smokey Eye

Hey Everyone!

Ever since I got the Too Faced Bon Bons Palette I’ve been in love with the Earl Grey shade but I just haven’t found a good way to incorporate it into any of the looks I’ve done, so today I tried to work it into a simple dark smokey eye and I absolutely love the outcome! It is so simple but creates a really edgy look that I love!

Today I started with the skin, I used Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation and for concealer I mixed Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer in Light Neutral and the Bare Minerals Stroke of Light to cover and brighten the area. I set this using the Too Faced Primed and Poreless powder. For bronzer/contour I used the Soap and Glory Solar Power, focussing mainly on the matte side, I applied a small amount of Too Faced Love Flush blush in Love Hangover and I used The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer to highlight. I then used Soap and Glory Brow Archery in Hot Chocolate to fill in my brows.

For the eyes I mainly used the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette. I started by blending the colour Mocha into the crease, this will be the transition shade for this look. After I had built up some depth with this shade I used Malted to further darken the crease. I continually blended these two shades to get a seamless transition. I then used the darkest shade from the Shaanxo palette, this is a dark grey almost black colour with a satin finish. I blended this all over the lid and used Malted and Mocha to blend out the crease.

I then went into the Too Faced Bon Bons Palette and applied the shade Earl Grey to the lid using a damp brush. I packed on quite a lot of this colour, but I love the impact it gives! I again blended the shade Mocha through my crease to get rid of any harsh lines. I then tight lined using a black pencil and blended both Mocha and Malted along the lower lash line using a pencil brush. For my inner corner and brow bone highlight I used Mary Lou-Manizer by The Balm.

To finish I applied a coat of the Maybelline Push Up Drama mascara to top and bottom lashes before popping on some falsies! I used Eylure Party Perfect Texture Lashes, these are exclusive to New Look but I really love their wispy style. For the lips I used Urban Decay 1993 lip liner and the Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick in Dolce K. Overall I really love this look! The Earl Grey shade makes it look a lot edgier than your standard smokey eye.

Hope to see you around,

Love,

Charlotte xx
