Urban Decay Event GRWM

Hey Everyone,

Last week I went to a beauty event held by Urban Decay in Perch! It was a great night and I learnt so much from the staff and the makeup artist, Stevey Lennox! It was great to be able to have a little play around with the makeup and watch Stevey use it too! This is the look I created for the event and my outfit too!!

For this look I started with my brows, I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in Dark Brown to fill them in, I then went in with Soap and Glory Brow Archery in Hot Chocolate to help add a little shape and texture. I used my NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer to carve out the brows for a really defined shape. Once I had finished all my makeup I set my brows using L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper in Medium/Dark.

Honestly I had no idea what makeup I wanted to do for this look, I wan intending upon doing something very soft but I felt it would be too similar to the makeup I wore to the Kiss Summer Party! While I was trying to decide what I wanted I used Limit and Nooner from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette to begin defining the crease.

I then decided I wanted a warmer brown tone so went back to my trusty Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette, which I literally use all the time! I went into the shade Raw Sienna to try and warm up the crease, mixing in some Burnt Orange as well. I then took Cyprus Umber on a fluffy brush and used this shade to help darken the crease, making sure to go over any harsh edges with a clean fluffy brush! To add extra warmth to the crease I used the shade Realgar on a smaller fluffy brush and focused this towards the edges of the Cyprus Umber shade.

I decided to do a cut crease for this look so I took my NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer and carved out along the crease, I set the concealer with Tempera from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette. I didn’t want the lid to have too much colour or any sparkle, I really love how it looks sort of edgy being so matte.

For the liner I used Kat Von D Ink Liner in Trooper, this is seriously the best liner ever! It helps you to create a sharp wing with minimal effort (for liner anyways). I used my Sephora Collection Waterproof Eye Pencil in Black to line my top and bottom water line.

At this stage I moved onto the skin!

Primer: Benefit POREfessional

Foundation: Too Faced Born This Way – Porcelain

Concealer: Tarte Shape Tape – Fair Neutral

Under Eye Setting Powder: Kat Von D Brightening Powder – Petal

Face Powder: MAC Beauty Powder – Natural

Highlight: The Balm Mary LouManizer and MAC Extra Dimension – Soft Frost

Contour: Too Faced Cocoa Contour – Medium Cocoa

Bronzer: Soap and Glory Solar Powder

Blush: Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour Blush – Exposed

For the lower lash line I took Raw Sienna and Burnt Orange from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette, I pulled these shades quite low under the eye for a more blown out look. I then went in with Burnt Umber from the same palette but I kept this quite close to the lash line. I then applied lots of MAC Extended Play Gigablack Mascara to top and bottom lashes before going in with lashes. The lashes I used were the Eylure 159’s.

To spice this look up a little I added some glitter, I used Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liner in Distortion and then went over this with Gold glitter from NYX. I like how this is subtle but still really fun, I used the glitter under my liner and on the inner corner!

For the lips I used Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Liner in Pillow Talk, Dolce K by Kylie Cosmetics and then topped this off with MAC Velvet Teddy!

The weather was awful, so I opted for a casual bun so my hair wouldn’t become a fuzzy mess on the walk from my car to the bar!

Choker: New Look

Dress: River Island (I think it’s now in the sale)

Boots: River Island

Jacket: New Look

Bag: Michael Kors

I had so much fun this night and I loved how my makeup came out!!

    1. Just go for it! If you do your eyes first you don’t need to worry about mess or fall out! I watched loads of YouTube tutorials first to find the best way to do it! The concealer or cutting the crease part can be difficult but just make sure you go so and set it so it doesn’t transfer 💕
