#Throwback Thursday: Urban Decay Naked 2

Hey Everyone,

I’ve decided to start a #tbt feature on my blog, this will revolve around using some older products and palettes that I just don’t reach for anymore. Todays post is a look I created using the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette.

Naked 2

This palette is all about the taupe shades, it was one of my first eyeshadow palettes and I used to wear it almost every day! The shades Bootycall and Suspect were my absolute favourites, and the shade Tease was the first product I used for my eyebrows! This still is such a pretty palette, it’s missing a few matte brown shades but other than that I loved having a play with it and I really want to commit to using it more!

The Look

To create a winged eyeshadow shape I first applied some tape to the corners of my eyes, I try to follow the line from nose to the end of my eyebrow.

I used Urban Decay Primer Potion as a base to help bring out the pigmentation of the eyeshadows. I started by applying Tease through my crease, I applied quite a few layers of this shade  to help build up the intensity and the colour. I then went through the crease with a mix of Tease and Blackout, to further darken the crease and outer V.

I then went into the shade Snakebite, I applied this to the mobile lid using my finger to get the most pigmentation from the shade. I then topped up and smoothed out the colour using a small shader brush, before going back through the crease with a large fluffy brush and the shade Tease.

To add a little pop to this look I used the shade Half Baked on the centre of the lid, I applied this wet to get a more metallic finish. I love how this added so much extra dimension to the look.

I then lined my waterline with the Urban Decay 24/7 Waterline Eye Pencil in Legend. For the lower lash line I used Tease on the inner third and then began to mix this with Blackout towards the outer corner. I then coated my lashes in MAC Extended Play Mascara and applied Milan Glam Lashes by So Su by Suzanne Jackson.

To finish the look I applied Half Baked to the inner corners and used Bootycall and Foxy along the browbone. For the lips I used Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Lipstick in Child Star and topped this is Natural Quirk by MAC.

I loved diving back into some old makeup of mine and had so much fun creating this look! What old school product would you like for the next throwback Thrusday?

Love,

Note: Please excuse my bloodshot eyes! My hay fever start to play up as soon as I started taking pictures! My eyes were watering so much I lost all the makeup on my lashline and the falsies wouldn’t stick properly! Such a disaster haha x
