Pink Illusion Halo Eyes

Hey Everyone,

I am not normally one to play around with colour, but for this look I decided to take the plunge and go all out with pink eye shadow to create this beautiful halo eye.

After using Urban Decay Primer Potion to prime my eyes, I went into Buon Fresco from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette along my crease with a large fluffy brush, something like a MAC 217 is best here.

Once I had built up some depth and colour I went into the shade Love Letter, I used this on a smaller blending brush to keep the colour in a more concentrated area! To create a ‘halo eye’ I brought this shade into my inner corner and into the outer V, as well as blending it through the crease. I reapplied the Love Letter shade a few times for a more intense colour!

To further deepen the crease, I used the shades Venetian Red and Red Ochre. I tried to keep these shades through the crease only and not on the lid. Once I had built up this colour I went through the edge with the shade Tempera on a clean large fluffy brush to diffuse any harsh lines! This is one of my favourite tricks to create a seamless blend!

For the centre of my lid I took a little concealer or a very small pointed brush and dabbed it along the centre of my eye, blending out with my finger! I then applied Primavera to the centre for a golden hint! To add more sparkle to this look I used the Stila Magnificent Metal Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Karma Kitten. I would recommend keeping your eyes closed for a really long time after applying so it doesn’t transfer like it did on me!

On to the lower lashline! I started off with the shade Golden Ochre, then mixed in some Raw Sienna and used a pencil brush to blend it in! I then dipped into Burnt Orange and blended this through the centre portion of my lower lash line. To help complete the eyes I took Love Letter mixed with Red Ochre along the outer third, I blended this using the same pencil brush for a seamless transition of the colours.

To finish off the eyes I used MAC Extended Play Gigablack Mascara on top and bottom lashes, I then applied ‘Milan’ Glam Lashes by So Su by Suzanne Jackson! I’m obsessed with these lashes, I love how they are so dramatic without being a black strip along you lashes!

Hope you loved this look as much as I did!

Love,
