Rose Gold Romance

Hey Everyone,

Like 90% of the population I fell in love with the Huda Beauty Textured Shadows Rose Gold Edition, and the fact it was constantly  sold out only made me want it more! Finally last week it came into stock and I had the money to buy it, so I took the plunge and now I’m in love.

 

Yes this palette is £56, which is a lot of money for an eyeshadow palette but it is beautiful! Let me know if you want a full review with swatches!!

 

This is the look I came up with using this palette, it is a bold pink semi-cut crease with rose gold pops and so much easier than it looks! I love this look and was impressed with the pigmentation from most of the shades I used!

 

To prime my lid I used Urban Decay Original Primer Potion, I then went straight in with Shy on a blender brush and began applying this shade to the crease. This will be used as a transition shade! I applied a few layers of this shade to build intensity. I then went in with Flamingo, this is my absolute favourite shade from the palette! It is a bold, bright pink and has great pigmentation!

To darken the outer V and crease I took the shade Maneater, this shade wasn’t as pigmented so I used a pencil brush to pack on the colour and then used a fluffy brush to blend it out. I had to go over this shade quite a lot to get enough colour pay off!

 

CUT CREASE TIME!

 

I took my Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer and a small flat brush and used it to carve out the inner half/two-thirds of my lid. I set this with the shade Bae to make sure the concealer wouldn’t crease! I then used my fingers to apply the shade Angelic on the inner portion and Rose Gold towards the centre of my lid. I did use a brush to blend these shades and then reapplied using my fingers again to build up intensity.

 

I used Moon Dust to highlight along my brow bone and on the inner corner. I then used the Kat Von D Ink Liner in Trooper to draw a thin line along my lash line. I tight lined using Urban Decay 24/7 Waterline Eye Pencil in Legend. To smudge this along the lower lash line I went back into Maneater and  Flamingo and blended this with a pencil brush.

To finish the eyes I applied So Su Milan Lashes and coated top and bottom lashes using MAC Extended Play Gigablack Mascara.

For the lips I used the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Liner in Pillow Talk, this was topped with Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lipstick in 710 Latte To Go* and then I applied Jouer Lip Topper in Skinny Dip over this for a metallic finish.
