Hey Everyone,
Modern Renaissance is definitely my favourite palette at the minute, I love the warm pink tones and just how well the shadows blend! It’s really a fab palette and a must if you love warm shades.
I’ve broken this look down step by step and included what brushed I used for the steps, of course you can just use whatever brushes you have that are similar! I hope this makes this guide a little easier to follow!
- Apply Urban Decay Original Primer Potion over lids
- Blend Buon Fresco through the crease using a fluffy brush (MAC 217)
- Blend Love Letter through the crease using a fluffy brush (MAC 217)
- Use Venetian Red to further deepen the crease, using a more tapered brush (Makeup Geek Defined Crease Brush)
- Use concealer to cut the crease. I used Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer and a Zoeva Smudger Brush to carve out where I want the lighter shade to go. Use the concealer to fix the shape of the crease and any areas you think don’t look right.
- Use Primavera to set the concealer, load the colour onto a flat brush (Zoeva Detail Shader)
- Apply Too Faced Glitter Glue over the mobile lid, where you want the lighter colour to go
- Use the same flat brush to pack on Primavera over the Glitter Glue, this gives more impact and makes the colour pop!
- At this stage I done my base makeup, check out my All About That Base post for more information.
- Do liner, this is optional! Do what you think suits you best and what makes you feel most confident! I went for Winged Liner using Kat Von D Ink Liner in Trooper
- Tight line using Urban Decay 24/7 Water Line Eye Pencil in Legend
- I blended Buon Fresco and Love Letter along the lower lash line using a Pencil Brush (Zoeva Luxe Pencil Brush)
- For Mascara I used MAC Extended Play Gigablack Mascara on top and bottom lashes
- Falsies are ‘Milan’ By So Su by Suzanne Jackson
- Highlight brow bone with Tempera and highlight inner corner with Vermeer
- Line lips with MAC Lip Liner in Boldly Bare, before applying Maliboo by Kylie Cosmetics and using Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in Child Star in the Centre.
Overall I love how this look came out! Here are some other posts I have using the Modern Renaissance Palette;
