BLOGMAS 27: NYE Glitter Smokey Eye

Hey Everyone,

I can hardly believe that Christmas is over and New Years Eve is just around the corner, this is just one of the NYE themed looks I have planned for you all!

Like all looks I began with the brows, I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Dark Brown. To help tidy around the brow I used Nars Soft Matte Complete Conceal in Vanilla and a small brush to fix and clean the brow area. I then bounced my beauty blender over the area and set it in place with Kat Von D Lock It Brightening Powder in Petal and the to help my shadows last to the New Year I primed my lids using Urban Decay Original Primer Potion.

For the lids I started by blending Buon Fresco from the Modern Renaissance Palette through the crease, applying a few times to help build up the colour. I then went in with the shade Cyprus Umber from the same palette through the crease and over the lid. I packed on this colour for maximum pigmentation and opacity! To add some glam to the lid I first applied Too Faced Glitter Glue then packed on some Helen E Cosmetics glitter in the shade Mocha!

TIP: If you’re worried about fallout then hold tissue close to the lash line and this will catch the excess.

For the lower lash line I used Buon Fresco and smudged it quite low down, then blended Cyprus Umber on top of this. I blended this quite low to add extra drama to the look. To finish the eyes I tight lined using the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Water Liner Eye Pencil in Legend and lined the top lash line using the Kat Von D Ink Jet Liner in Trooper before applying some mascara and SoSu lashes in Milan.

Lips are Maybelline x Gigi Hadid in Taura with Max Factor Lustrous Sands on top.

For my foundation routine, check out the All About That Base post.

Love,
