Hey Everyone,
We all have those nights were we just can’t be bothered to go out but it’s an important event so you can’t flake! It’s a nightmare, especially when getting ready takes away from precious time in bed! Equally we’ve had those days were nothing goes to plan, you get held on in work and stuck in traffic and by the time you get home you’ve less than an hour before you’re meeting the girls for Pre-Christmas Drinks! An event that’s going to be all over Facebook and Instagram the next day so you really have to look good! And with that being said, let me introduce you to your knight in shining armour – this super quick party ready look!
For all makeup looks I like to start with the brows, for mine I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in Medium Brown. I then go in with the NARS Soft Matte Complete Conceal in Vanilla to tidy up around the brow area, bringing this down over my lids to act like a primer, I like to set this with translucent powder.
To start adding some definition to the lid I use my contour powder to go through the crease before applying MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Chilled On Ice to the whole lid (this shade isn’t available online but it’s pretty much just a gold shimmer, so something like Bare Study would work as well). To add even more sparkle I patted MAC Gold Glitter over the lid! I try to focus it around the centre and lash line so it isn’t too close to the crease.
If you have the time (and ability) add some winged liner, I use the Kat Von D Ink Jet Liner in Trooper, if you don’t go for liner than I would recommend smudging some black eyeshadow along the lashline to give the illusion of fuller lashes. I then tight lined using the Urban Decay 24/7 Waterliner in Legend and used the same contour powder to smudge the pencil along the lower lashline. I then applied heaps of Benefit Roller Lash Mascara – for a more dramatic look you could also add falsies!
I like to use a face wipe to tidy up all the excess glitter that’s fallen over my face (this is why it is best to do the eyes first). Before priming the skin, right now I love the Freedom Strobing Cream! For foundation I used NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Mont Blanc, I used NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla! To set the under eye area I used the Kat Von D Lock It Brightening Powder in Petal and to set the rest of my face I used the Kat Von D Lock It Setting Powder!
To add some dimension to my face I use the Urban Decay Naked Skin ShapeShifter, I used the cool toned contour shade to contour my cheekbones and jawline and I used the highlight shade to highlight my browbone and inner corner. To highlight my cheekbones I used MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Soft Frost. I used Tarte Exposed to add a little colour to my cheeks!
For my lips I first used MAC Soar lip liner to line and fill in the lips before topping them with a L’Oreal Lipstick in the colour Sepia Silk. To finish the look I spritz some MAC Fix+ all over my face!
Ideally this look should take no more than half an hour! Steps like false lashes and liner will take a little longer to do so it would probably be better to skip these steps than rush them and mess up the look. Either way just do you and remember to let me know if you recreate this look by tagging me on social media!
